4 Not too bad for the price But app has android issues The beacon did not save the TYPE using the android app RadBeacon version 1.2 on android 5.1. Also, was looking to receive the same design on the cover, but was just smooth. Would like to set quick setup guide to get started, then the extra taking me out to left field to get to home explanations.
Need more customer support and direct instructions on the steps.

Once I figure out how to get it to broadcast, I am sure I will rate it 5 stars. Once I got it in configuration mode, I was able to see the battery at 99%. Thought the batter was dead upon arrival. 4 Great product so far I left a previous review of 3 stars. Got on the phone with me twice to help me get it working correctly.AJ is awesome and very helpful. Replaced my product when it wasn't working and 2. I had an issue because I didn't understand the requirements for Google nearby but the team 1. It does exactly what it was supposed to do and setup is very easy. I love this product because it's super small and indetectible. They could have picked better colors (blue/green), arranged them asymmetrically, made them different sizes, used two buttons or different on/off cadences, or simply made it a single LED blinking once or twice. For them, these lights are indistinguishable and can't easily be told apart by position. It is hard to imagine a worse arrangement for users who are color blind or red/green challenged (more than 10m people in the US alone). 1/2 star.-1 star for having small red and green LEDs to indicate on/off status arranged symmetrically, triggered by a toggle button. It has a prominent on/off button at the top, which is handy but can't be locked out, so you better make sure it doesn't get randomly pressed by bystanders (or kids). Five stars for "works just fine when you're done setting it up, until you need to change it."The setup app is slightly less awkward than the competition's, but that's not saying much. 1 A decent iBeacon 3.5 stars, rounding up.This works exactly as an iBeacon should, regions and ranging and all. As a tech with 30 years wireless and networking experience, this has been disqualified for a use in which we will be installing MANY beacons. This unit with iBeach, EddyStone and AltBeacon capabilities appears to be ideal for reaching the most broad market, but between functionality of the unit, the app and a 1 page "manual" with no support phone # - it's far from ready for prime time. Every time I ran the app to do a scan it crashed completely (suspected because it didn't see a beacon - should have had an error trap to stop crash and inform user).

When attempting to pair via Bluetooth with a Pixel XL it would see the unit but never complete pairing. After 30 minutes of following the instructions, I finally got the unit to turn-on by removing & re-inserting the battery. Finally threw it away 1 The specs read great, the real world functionality says the product is NOT ready for Prime Time. However, the range measurement is very inaccurate and the alerts were not consistently provided. I bought this to use as a virtual lanyard, using the iOS Leash app I was hoping to have it alert me when I forgot my item behind. 4 I bought this to use as a virtual lanyard. Strong signal, good battery life Works well, but I could never get the unit to broadcast at a low enough signal strength that it wasn't visible for 30+ feet.
